of course, every busy newsgroup is infested by usenet troll farm agents
that routinely use every newsserver available to fulfill their assigned
daily quota . . . and e-s server headers often appear in their articles

although the "eternal-september" news server is certainly super-popular,
it does however require simple registration, even for read-only access,
and does not currently have long article retention (less than one year)

there are other free public newsservers that don't require registration
for read-only access, some of which have long article retention such as
blueworld (21 years), csiph (9 years), paganini (5 years), and netfront
(4 years); there are other news servers with shorter retention that are
also very popular, fast, reliable etc. (remailers are very popular too)
