Yeah, I have CPU-Z on there but it doesn't seem to tell me any more 
about the specific underlying model that I can see? ;-(

FWIW, the first BIOS I ever played with was taking the ROM out of 
genuine IBM PC, copying it onto an EPROM and plugging it into my IBM PC
