Latest live CD for ubuntu server 24.04.3 fails if ye have a live network
connection... it's trying to download a kernel update that another
downloaded meta file says is ready for it.

https://askubuntu.com/questions/1563603/issues-updating-kernel-to-6-8-0-100-24-04

Wonder how long it will take to fix, fetching some popcorn now....

Imagine if ye are a network engineer timetabled to appear on a site at x
o'clock, expecting your shiny new downloaded ISO to install. In the rush
to keep the customer happy, do you proceed to install without taking
immediate updates, after wasting an entire morning swearing at the
blasted installer?
