Jim Fidler double CD compilation coming soon

Before the Christmas shopping season Jim Fidler will release
a double CD entitled Midnight Gypsy Fire which will be a
compilation of the best 22 tracks from his three solo Celtic
folk recordings Gypsy, Friendly Fire, and Midnight Rover
along with three bonus tracks. It has been remastered
to improve warmth and make the instruments clearer.

When it comes out I will post again with details of how
to get it, but it should be available from Jim’s website,
https://jimfidler.com/ and from Fred’s Records, the
oldest independent record store in Canada, in person
or at their website, https://www.fredsrecords.com/ .
Jim’s album Gypsy was also available on Iona Records,
a division of Lismor Recordings since 1990, but I
don’t know if they will pick up the new compilation.

This year happens to be 50 years that Jim has
been in music, 30 years since Gypsy, 25 years
since Friendly Fire, and 20 years since Midnight Rover.

Jim also has enough new material for at least three
more recordings, a Celtic one, a reggae one, and
a rock/pop/blues/country/zany one, but I don’t know
what the release time frame for those is yet, and
will post when I find out.
