Thomas Stafford, Air Force test pilot and astronaut, is dead at 93. As a test pilot, he authored texts still in use by test pilots. As an astronaut, Stafford flew on Gemini 6A and 9A, Apollo 10, and ASTP. He also served the astronaut corps as an adminitrator (chief of NASA's atronaut corps, deputy director of flight crew operations, oversight committee for post-Columbia compliance, and chairman of NASA's ISS Advisory Committee).
