My point was, that einstein was very poor in learning English, besides of living a decade in the USA, while apparently spoke French and Italian besides of German. Italian and French are naturall guesses only, because that is actually unknown. But he had close contact to people, who most likely didn't speak German. He also attended conferences, which were held in French. For instance a close friend was Michele Besso, who was Italian. Einstein had also frequent contact to George Lemaitre, Marie Curie, Poincaré and Langvin. From this I would draw the conclusion, that he was able to speak the required languages (French and Italian). Now this wouldn't fit to his official biography, as Ulm or Munich are not tri-lingual. A much better guess would be, that his biography was a fake and he was actually a Swiss citizen from birth. This would also explain his strange migration and his hostile attitudes towards Germany. ... TH
