You are using "dark" for the purpose
for which you dreamed it up:
as a generic counter-example which
you deploy without bothering to understand
what you deploy it against.

That doesn't actually work, at all, ever.

Consider an argument for the Pythagorean
theorem.

| Therefore,

It is an argument that uses
claims true about △ABC

However! (one imagines asking) What if
those claims _aren't_ true about △ABC?
What then?

Then the argument fails for
non-right triangle ABC

But the claim, the theorem was never
claimed for non-right triangles.
The Pythagorean theorem is specifically
a claim about _right triangles_

It is false for equilateral triangles.
It is false for flying rainbow sparkle ponies.
It is false for many things.
But the only things we _claim_ that
it is true for are right triangles.
Flying rainbow sparkle ponies,
despite their many charms,
are irrelevant to _what we claim_
