HW,
Are the batteries in Cellphones Lithium?

A friend has his cellphone connected to the A.C. line 24/7.
He asked me once thinking it was a bad idea and I told him I figured 
the
charging circuitry would/should taper the charging level down after the 
battery
gets fully charged 

Reading your post caused me to want to ask you about the battery in a
cellphone.
