This is a major accessibility problem for people on old hardware
and/or unsupported graphics drivers unable to run "modern" browsers.

I was trying to lookup some old bug reports, but rt.cpan.org is
failing for me from w3m (terminal web browser).

I'm in my 3rd decade of using Perl and continue using it because
it's stable, predictable, and works well on my ancient hardware.
JS and "modern" web browsers are quite the opposite.

[1] of course I'm not able to use any reporting methods which
