I thought ACT was the most Trump-friendly of all our political parties in Parliament. But now we hear that Luxon was all for expressing outright support for Trump’s warmongering against Iran, and it took Winston Peters to be the voice of sense to pull him back from that <https://www.stuff.co.nz/politics/360972133/luxon-and-peters-clash-after-release-emails-nzs-iran-war-stance-report>. Yes, there are certainly some raised eyebrows at the idea that the Foreign Minister has sufficient authority (and/or chutzpah) to overrule the Prime Minister on such an important Government position. But that’s coalition politics for you. If it works, it works.
