oh right... my build of netbsd-11 on netbsd/vax 11 hung again
doing the native gimple-match.c.  i'm in ddb and i'm trying to
figure out why it isn't waking up.  there's plenty of free ram
and sometimes the pagedaemon runs a lot, and sometimes the
process is faulting something, and sometimes the process is
actually running, but i see no response from network or the
console when not in ddb.

i am confused by this problem, and need to send a message to
tech-kern about the details because i'm not sure how it is
vax specific..
