Hi

I stumbled on

https://github.com/astral-sh/uv

as a new python build system, which is used by sigstore-models:

https://github.com/astral-sh/sigstore-models/blob/main/pyproject.toml

I can't find 'uv' in Debian. I suppose it is useful to package it?

It appears to be written in Rust. Should it be maintained by the python
or rust team? It seems a bit strange for a Python build system to be
maintained by the Rust team, but I suppose the Rust team have more
familiarity with Rust packaging than the Python team?

I have little experience of Rust and Python packaging, is someone
interested in collaborating on packaging of 'uv'? Assuming it is makes
sense to proceed, that is.

/Simon
