Your recent commitment to make this all work with OpenJDK 17 gave me hope but it shouldn't be I guess. >=20 > How do you feel about allowing openjdk-8 in testing/bookworm with a=20 > clear > mention in the release notes that it's only there for technical reasons= =20 > and > we make no commitment about its support? I think this is the only possible solution at the moment. We make it clear = that openjdk-8 is not supported in any way and will not receive any security updates. We probably need to update the package description and should ment= ion this clearly in the release notes too. In that case I don't see any objecti= ons from neither the release or security team.=20 Regards, Markus --=-4R1MirgCetHufm5AO0Ub Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQKSBAABCgB9FiEErPPQiO8y7e9qGoNf2a0UuVE7UeQFAmPSwZdfFIAAAAAALgAo aXNzdWVyLWZwckBub3RhdGlvbnMub3BlbnBncC5maWZ0aGhvcnNlbWFuLm5ldEFD RjNEMDg4RUYzMkVERUY2QTFBODM1RkQ5QUQxNEI5NTEzQjUxRTQACgkQ2a0UuVE7 UeTNmA/4m5m+CurdMs221YqHboreqPZIQEN2/2xG4a+gA8f7ssAZ1LDmHRFm2lUy eECXEbut03cSA8IQevjlgSv33r1GunqioCnDHZnHFDGYDlZzDl8FwpMCAp2Ft7u2 gQvMt+T1jRIQCi15HrlhwwLd0vlbbvCF9LDgkmEkgpMrCjA9ll6Ub64+KdoCn5iK mR7xIYKTaWXaq/LI0li9NI3iAJ7SM0Bms9EMpNP4eiiEgWHBRL4zfhp7CH0BZljM eEYhkIw0EJndssN44X6LlEqFtDbqAIblt44D5P+VUW1uU+GsI4jyInZdIEql4LaK FOccxYjhJhuFk4oYkcO3F9vLxjhlKa15viC8IcpDhFpH49F3V6ZLmGL/C+Nlkbk/ eSltgeb2v5ViqXIfKBmDcB6TP1NcFcwDES09jn4xO6+AV3T5V3lbbMmLhkY4RqLC A4TF9JNGwAHbmz1KEozTKN+1pZZB7f0PB9LF3XVTNeHFEqlgHv8a50j8AWMbSFeD 9XmbZc/CBh5xNRraEFYCQa79NCQ9jRM/VHPz0SkCgvh8mGFKkKE3VjXUUz8tTJek mSjmRa6Q7TC/dMNhKZ4KD20TGhCICXBM7DinulRgESiKMXKUbk+zkbsEOznaadss dzNiA0gUjXIM/ydeFTWYzL/kZeFkRAc5VFGRCDHguUvMpZGDVA== =3Sg2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-4R1MirgCetHufm5AO0Ub--
