Please skip the revert attempt. Havin a cashlog would ideally be the
best good start. 

The offending commit does not need a revert in 6.12.y based on the
discussion in 
https://lore.kernel.org/regressions/58f6e74d-480e-4e0c-aa66-68dfc1de7421@leemhuis.info/
