grazie per le segnalazioni innanzitutto.

riguardo l'obsolescenza di "pdftk" ammetto di non aver controllato in un 
primo momento.
tuttavia ora che mi hai fatto notare questa situazione sono andato a 
dare un'occhiata ed in effetti la versione più recente presente nei 
repository Debian è datata dicembre 2018.
è probabile quindi che, come dici, non sia più mantenuto.

farò qualche controllo più nel dettaglio per cercare qualche info 
"ufficiale".
naturalmente sarà mia premura riportare eventuali risultati.
