<quindi forse devo scaricare quella libreria itext.


<ma cosa devo scaricare e come fare per far partire poi quel programma ?


disinstalla TUTTE le jvm presenti sul pc , poi reinstalla la versione 7 e 
prova il software.
Se si lamenta che manca la la jvm, installa la 8 e riprova.
