Now, any other idea *why* the newsgroup has become so small? (Maybe us old-farts are dying off, and not being replaced? Or maybe MS (or is it still M$?) convinced everyone to use them?) What other editor even competes with emacs? ex/vi/vim I suppose; anything else? Emacs is easy, once your fingers memorize it! FSF is still updating their two main emacs manuals (user-man & elisp). (updating and printing)
