Version: GNU bash, version 5.1.0(1)-rc1 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu). Buildt by debian, https://packages.debian.org/bullseye/bash Previously i could do C-r x y z and that would take me to the latest command containg 'xyz'. I could then do one more C-r and that would take me to the previous command containing 'xyz' but differing from the current one (very nice). There appears to be an improvement in the new version in that the found string is now highlighted. However the second C-r will restart the search rather than go to the previous hit. -- ..
