Hmm, yes, you're right. That suggests that -depth must be a System-V invention (POSIX wouldn't have added a spec for an undocumented internal operator from BSD...) I don't have any System-V (particularly not ancient) sources available to check - I did verify that -depth is not in System-III though (or at least is not documented in it.) kre
