WOODSTOCK – A grand jury handed up an indictment of bestiality Wednesday against a woman formerly from Mount Jackson. The defendant, Jordan Elise Henderson, appeared in court with her attorney. Judge Dennis L. Hupp questioned Henderson as to whether she still lacked enough money to hire her own attorney. “Has your financial situation changed?” Hupp asked her. “No,” Henderson replied. Hupp scheduled Henderson’s next court appearance for 9 a.m. July 13. Henderson, who has been out on unsecured bail since her arrest in July, is now living in Danville. Shenandoah County deputies arrested her after a lengthy investigation begun in 2014 in Prince William and Fairfax counties. Detectives from the Prince William and Fairfax police departments obtained a video of a woman having sex with a dog and later identified the woman as Henderson. The detectives executed a search warrant at Henderson’s former home in Mount Jackson and found items that they say appeared in the video. The items included a black mask and a diamond stud. Henderson is also facing misdemeanor charges of cruelty to an animal and producing obscene material, both of which resulted from the investigation.
