Der Gang der U2 wird im System der Bahnstrecke bestimmt, indem die U2 zwei Uhren die im Bahnstreckensystem synchron laufen passiert und da jeweils die Zeit der U2 und der jeweiligen Bahnstreckenuhren registriert wird. Der Gang wird dann bestimmt indem die Zeitdifferenz auf der U2 verglichen wird mit der Zeitdifferenz der beiden Uhren an der Bahnstrecke. Und das System ist wichtig, weil an der Bahnstrecke zwei Uhren benutzt werden.
