Ja, selbst in den Mac-Gruppen wird's langsam dünn...
Und auch in den Windows- und Linux-Gruppen mit ebenfalls immer weniger
Traffic sind's immer die gleichen Personen - leider oft auch Trolle -,
die auch schon vor 20 Jahren das Usenet genutzt haben. Neue kommen auch
da schon lange so gut wie gar nicht mehr dazu. Ja, noch nicht mal neue
Trolle. Aber gerade *die* bleiben. (Weil augenscheinlich sonst keine
Freude am Leben, vernünftigen Job oder relevante Interessen oder gar
soziale Kontakte im Real Life, was man auch an den Posting-Zeiten
sieht.)
Vermutlich liegt's *auch* daran, dass oft nur der Bodensatz heute noch
sonderlich viel schreibt. Und das schreckt halt zudem ab. Auch ich
schreibe heute sehr viel weniger als noch vor fünf Jahren, für (zu
viele) schizophrene mental Gestörte etwa in de.comp.sys.mac.misc ist mir
meine Zeit viel zu schade (da kümmere ich mich selbst bei den aktuellen
Temperaturen sogar weit lieber ums Unkraut in meinem Garten). Die
meisten (teils sehr) kompetenten Residents sind dort leider schon lange
verschwunden.
Sehr schade.
Denn an sich war das Usenet mal eine sehr feine Sache.
