In einer Zeile heißt es halt mal "unstable", aber RAID56 in btrfs
existiert und funktioniert grundsätzlich durchaus, wenn man es nicht
an die Limits treibt. Das ist etwas ganz anderes als "Kein RAID-5",
was Du geschrieben hattest. Es gibt genug Leute, die das verwenden
und im normalen Alltag keinen Kummer haben.

Wem Stabilität sauwichtig ist, verwendet grundsätzlich kein btrfs,
egal mit welchem RAID-Level, dafür ist es noch zu sehr in Bewegung.
Und wie Du ja selbst die Erfahrung gemacht hast, ist ZFS unter
Linux auch keine sorgenfreie Wahl, weil es dort aus höheren Gründen
ein Fremdkörper ist.

Wer ein müheloses Backup-System in der Hinterhand hat, wo auch mal
alles ausfallen darf, kann sowohl mit btrfs als auch ZFS durchaus
glücklich werden. Die bieten dafür ja viele andere tolle Features.

Wie wir letztes Wochenende erleben durften, kann man hingegen
auch mit einem bewährten ext4 unter Debian (stable) seine Daten
gegen die Wand fahren.
