Bei folgendem validen HTML zeigt FF 89.0.1 auf macOS (Freunde
berichten mir dasselbe von Windows 10) als Standbild an:

<video src="tolles-video.mp4" controls></video>

Die Anzeige des Videos funktioniert auf den Browser Chrome auf macOS
problemlos.

Gibt es dafür einen Workaround, damit Nutzer von FF auch die Videos
nutzen können?

Hat das Problem (auch) etwas mit MIME-Types auf dem Server zu tun?
Oder ausschließlich mit Lizenzen, die das OS "bereitstellen" muss?
