Just discovered David Rosenthal’s Digital Preservation blog, which goes back quite a long way. Here are couple of choice items: * A history of window systems <https://blog.dshr.org/2021/03/history-of-window-systems.html>, including mention of Sun’s NeWS, which came along just in time to be pushed aside by X11 * The X Window System at age 40 <https://blog.dshr.org/2024/07/x-window-system-at-40.html> -- when will it finally bite the dust?
