For those of you who may have missed announcements elsewhere:

Markup UK 2019 is a conference about XML and other markup technologies,
being held next weekend, 7–9 June 2019, at King's College London (Bush
House East, Aldwych)

https://markupuk.org/index.xhtml

Markup UK — now in its second year — is a conference for anyone
interested in challenges, solutions, and recent developments in the use
of XML and other markup technologies. Join a broad group of
technologists, end-users, publishers, and academics to explore
approaches to constructing with markup technologies.

The conference theme is "Beyond the Bricks". After decades of
development, improvement, and diversification, mature markup
technologies now offer a diverse range of building blocks. These markup
"bricks" are combined to construct elegant frameworks and packaged
solutions, to streamline production processes, to build creative
applications and scholarly projects, and much more.
