Hi, great, that there are still people at least thinking
on powereing up their SGI stuff. Setting up networking on
the O2 should be not that difficult:

Log in, from the 4DWM Toolchest choose the System Manager. There
you will find "Networking and Connectivity" on the left panel.
This will display a menu on the right hand side and using the
first topic "Network Interface Manager" you can set up IP address,
system name etc. It should even accept DHCP configuration....
