First GUI machines were a UNIX system (IIRC) and Windows 3.0. I found both intuitive and easy to use right off the top. That said, I didn't set up the Unix ststem; but I did install and setup W 3.0. At the time, the later was not on a network. Later when I got internet at home (dial up) the ISP provided the s/w and a sheet of paper with the access creds (account name, temp password) but little in the way of setup info. Muddled through. When I eventually switched to a cable based ISP (1998?), the setup guide was crystal clear and detailed. I actually skimmed/perused the manual that came with mine, > reading the parts that concerned me with what I was actually wanting to > do at the moment. Fine. But really Macs are easy to setup right out of the box. Insanely easy.
