Hello and welcome to the 21st century.  Where ya been?  The OS for Macs 
is proprietary.  Always has been.  Always will be, even though it is 
built on a POSIX core (which does include much FOSS software from Apple 
given back to the community, but it's not specifically "Mac" software- 
like CUPS for example, which is maintained by Apple under the GNU 
license).
