But you didn't do it by clicking on start and end points as easily as one does in Google Maps. In fact you can't do it at all w/o entering one of them in the start field (or using current location if the Mac can determine it). Google Maps is just more flexible in route define/edit, offers drag point editing of the route and shows traffic (real time or history based) in a clearer fashion than Apple Maps. Apple Maps presents a nifty 3D of the world and can upload the route to ones phone. Nice. But for practicality, GM is far better. Never mind that Mass Transit in Google Maps is pretty much anywhere in the world whereas Apple Maps is US and some other countries. Not many.
