Xcode itself takes 3.59 GB: Various SDKs and documentation will naturally require additional space. I paired a 256 GB SSD with a 750 GB HD as a Fusion Drive in my MBP to get almost 1 TB of speedy storage - best of both worlds. : ) -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter.
