I have seen that often. Heck, look at Linux "advocates" and how they are so
happy to have so much "choice" of desktop environments but so hesitant to
talk about tasks they think desktop Linux handles well.

Absolutely agree. I tend to use Macs but also use Windows and Linux. For
others: use what you like and what you think will serve you well. I do not
get the religious fervor of many over what OS they use. Just silly to me.
