Those who troll COLA are going to increase their begging for people to not
speak to me.
I actually work to help desktop Linux do better -- I speak of its benefits
but, more importantly based on the level of the ecosystem, I have for years
spoken of what it would take to make it actually useful to more people. I
have had a goal of seeing it move from the 1% it used to be stuck at to
increase. It is now double that (though that might include ChromeOS, and if
it does I admit that weakens my position here).

Now, of course, I am not going to pretend my efforts are what boosted it...
I am but a bit player in a much larger open source world. But I do educate
people about Linux, both the pros and cons. I do turn in bug reports and
help developers see what the issues in their products are from the eyes of
users. I do share information in COLA and elsewhere as to what is needed for
desktop Linux to gain users and compete better with Windows and macOS.
I join those such as Mark Shuttleworth, Jim Zemlin, the KDE and GNOME teams,
and many others in contributing where I can.
Many in COLA work against this. And as desktop Linux does better they will
increase their trolling. They will become more desperate and attack those of
us who seek to help it grow.

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They cannot
use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel somehow
superior by attacking the messenger.
They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.
