Yeah, I wouldn't put much faith in that drive.

You should make an appointment with your local Apple Store ASAP since you
are extremely close to the warranty end period and chances of them
replacing it for free go down every day you wait.

Any 750GB 2.5-inch hard drive will do. I'd probably look at Hitachi or
Seagate brands, personally. 7200 RPM drives will be faster than 5400 RPM
drives, but will run hitter as well, which means so will the computer.
