The fact that Apple forces you to use gestures for certain operations on the Apple TV 4 means universal remotes aren't nearly as usful as they were with previous generation Apple TVs. My opinion of the Apple TV 4's remote is similar to my opinion of the infamous hockey puck mouse of the original iMac.
