Immediately after downloading the Yosemite installer from the App Store, if the installer launches, quit it. Then just right-click the installer, and choose Compress from the pop-up menu that appears. That will create a zipped copy of the installer that you can archive or transfer to other computers. That's what I do for all OS X installers I download from the App Store. ;) -- Sent from my iPhone
