The only reason I mentioned DVDs is because I tend to *create* my own digital media files from them - as opposed to getting my digital media elsewhere without having the original DVD. Encoding a DVD is a one-time task, as you know. The point is I can *play* my digital media with a couple button presses on my remote control - without having to deal with OS X logins, Spotlight searches, Finder windows, QuickTime Player, and so on. I have no DVD player connected to my television set. If I did, then physically locating and plopping a DVD in just to play it would *still* be more cumbersome than simply hitting a button on the remote control. > I certainly don't need my movies available wherever I go. Well that's good because you *can't* have them wherever you go using your methods. And note I didn't say my movies are available everywhere I go - just everywhere I *need* them, which means on any Mac or iOS device in the house. >> You have to log into a computer, find a file, open it, stream it. Not here. It takes a couple seconds to drag a digital media file into iTunes. Must be you. -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter. I often ignore posts from Google.
