It sounds as if you played through the original game, rather than using 
the restored content mod from deadlystrean.com. This is not a normal fan 
mod; what they did was go through all the game files and find all the 
stuff Lucasarts left in there but never used. Then they wrote scripts to 
reconstruct the story as it would have been had Lucasarts not rushed to 
release the game months before it was finished. There's not mych in the 
way of additional quests, with the exception of the HK factory, but there 
a lot of dialog and cutscenes that have been resotred. The game takes a 
bit longer to play and you understand a lot more of what's going on.

If you're light side you get Mira, if dark, Hanharr.

I did not have this problem using the restored content mod.

Incidentally, they are not too far from releasing version 1.8 of the RCM, 
so you might want to hold off getting it until then.
