I continued my playthrough of the Legacy of Kain series and 
anticipating that Crystal Dynamics when done with that will take 
over developing Lara Croft, i've been playing:

Action-Adventure, 3rd Person view
Very linear, fight a couple of enemies or solve a puzzle in 
between the many many short cutscenes. Hmm... Am i playing a game 
or watching a movie? I guess this is what y'all talk about when 
describing most of the current action-games.
May, oh may, how gory this one is when you suck blood from the 
dead enemies and how strange that must look in german releases.
Strafing only allowed when locked onto an enemy and Kain feels 
very sluggish to fight as. As part of the LoK-saga it's sort of 
interesting, and nods back to earlier games (here, the DOS-age 
topdown-view Blood Omen I) is something i like when developers 
put in, but on its own i didn't like it all that much.
