   An 11/780-5 is basically an 11/780 upgraded to an 11/785.  An
   11/780-2 is basically an 11/780 upgraded to an 11/782.  IIRC,
   DEC stuck the -X on the cabinet instead of trying to take the 0 off.

   So there are cabinets that have the -X on them, but VMS doesn't know
   the difference.

   DEC also offered to split 11/782 into two 11/780 when the 782 was
   unsupported.  I don't know if anyone bought it, and I wonder what
   they did with the model number on the original cabinet.
