The installation process for Fedora differs from that of Ubuntu. The reason for this is that peek requires ffmpeg to run and Fedora by default does not provide ffmpeg package in its repositories. After clicking STOP you will be prompted to save, choose a location and save the file as gif format. In order to check the peek version, you can make use make use of the below-mentioned command in the image. download peek ubuntu Download https://t.co/Xp2K2FcO6d The Peek is a very basic screen recording tool which contains only a set of few options. This tool is used to create/record a section of screen and export the recorded video as a GIF file. It uses ffmpeg and imagemagick to create the GIF screencasts. The peek can be fixed or resized on any screen to record and also the user can change the format of the created recording. I stored some impportant data in a vmware running ubuntu. The vmdk file got corrupted after I tried to move it from one hard drive to another (I know didn't make a proper backup). I have a copy of the corrupted vmdk file. Is it possible to recover or take a peek inside to try and recover that data/files? What kind of firm works on something like this? Initially when I shared my problem in certain groups I got the advice to set up an ad-hoc wifi network in ubuntu, but Android 2.3 and lower versions do not detect ad-hoc network so that means you either have to root your phone and ad the necessary features or you have to go for an alternative way. Really thank you very much for your tutorial , i was very happy to see the (GEEKPEEK) at my android device connected to my ubuntu. but unfortunately , there is no internet in my android device. could you please help me to share the internet. Grab the Ubuntu 16.04 ISO from Canonical's website, found at releases.ubuntu.com. Provision the VM as you normally would and step through the installation process. We created a set of scripts to perform all the heavy lifting to set up your environment appropriately. Once your VM is fully operational, we'll be executing the following commands inside of it. #Get the scripts from GitHub $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt install git $ git clone /linux-vm-tools $ cd / linux-vm-tools/ubuntu/16.04/ #Make the scripts executable and run them... $ sudo chmod +x install.sh $ sudo chmod +x config-user.sh $ sudo ./install.sh Install.sh will need to be run twice in order for the script to execute fully (it must perform a reboot mid-script). That is, once your VM reboots, you'll need to change dir into the location of the script and run again. Once you've finished running the install.sh script, you'll need to run config-user.sh $ sudo ./config-user.sh After you've run your scripts, shut down your VM. On your host machine in a powershell prompt, execute this command: Set-VM -VMName -EnhancedSessionTransportType HvSocket Now, when you boot your VM, you will be greeted with an option to connect and adjust your display size. This will be an indication that you're running in an enhanced session mode. Click "connect" and you're complete. Most of the official Ubuntu flavours have remained consistent with their point releases compared to the previous version, focusing on bug fixes and stability improvements. However, Edubuntu and Ubuntu Cinnamon remix get their latest desktop versions, while popular desktops receive updates as follows: I have an IBM x3650 M4 server (64-bit) running Ubuntu 13.04 Desktop (32-bit). I realize that this is a non-standard setup by it's being driven by other requirements. I am seeing slow file writes accross the board (to HDD, to USB, to network mount). The file writes seem to peek at 1.3Mb/s. The expected speed of my RAID setup is 180Mb/s. Since upgrading Ubuntu yesterday, I've seen several instances where my session has crashed and forced me back to the login screen. A quick peek at the Xorg logs shows a segmentation fault with the following information logged: f448fe82f3
