You should disable both. Enabling unit attention can prevent the Atari from booting from a drive. The synchroneous transfer negotiation is not supported by ACSI. Only with a TT or Falcon and a driver with support for SCSI messages (like HDDRIVER and maybe CBHD) it can be enabled, even though you would not be able to profit from it with the Atari.
