My company is too cheap to spring for yet ANOTHER license for adobe acrobat. As the newest member of the team, i'm left with a thumb up my ass and a free program called PDF Split and Merge Basic. While this program has all the UI functionality of adobe acrobat (as far as splitting and merging go), the only way this will be convenient to me is if i can use a VBA code to take a few pdf files from a few different locations and merge them into one file along with the spread sheet my code creates.

then, when I want to merge this two polylines again with the MERGE tool of the editor toolbar, I get the direction of the route in the intersection of the merged polyline instead of getting the arrow at the end as it was before splitting.

Unfortunately it's worse than you think. When ArcGIS merges features it creates vertices where any lines cross each other. Then it tries its best to merge the lines together, but then has no concept of how the original lines joined up. In your case what happens is that you end up with a single polyline with 3 separate parts - you can see this by using the Edit Vertices tool:

It's cumbersome to have to redraw/adjust the layout multiple times. If we could get them to copy what's already been made and then split or merge polygons from there, that would save a lot of time for them and make our product more appealing to use, especially for these users who are not GIS people. These features are usable in WAB, but they don't have the conditional visibility at the level we need that ExB has.

We would really appreciate these enhancements as well! Our biologists would like to use the EB edit widget to delineate vegetation types, and sometimes the easiest way to do this without ending up with slivers and gaps is to start out with an outline of the study area and start splitting it into its consituent parts. They also use it to delineate long drainages, and occasionally click too fast and unintentionally complete a polygon prematurely. A merge tool would allow them to create the remaining portion of the drainage and then merge it with the first part.

Without the ability to split, copy and merge the edit widget is lacking cruical functionality for quite a few users. If a feature has 50 property fields it is just to cumbersome to draw a new feature instead of just splitting or copying.

Here is another similar failure after only 7m51s, although only 1320 images, so not using split/merge this time.

I know the images are fine, and have produced an ortho with them as part of a much larger dataset previously. I successfully ran a dataset of twice as many images earlier today which completed ok (also with 0.5X reduction using GPU), other than missing out one flight plan of the 7 plans.

I have managed to get the C# and db setup using ListMappings. However, when I try to deploy the split/merge tool to Azure cloud classic the service it states 'The requested VM tier is currently not available in East US for this subscription. Please try another tier or deploy to a different location.' We tried a few other regions with the same result. Do you know if there is a workaround or updated version? Is the split / merge service even still relevant? Has anyone got this service to run on Azure lately?

The answer to the question on whether it is still relevant, in my opinion is ...no. Split\merge is no longer relevant with the maturation of elastic pools. Elastic pools with one data base per tenant seem the sustainable way to implement multi tenancy with legacy code. The initial plan was to add keys to each of our tables to have multiple tenants per database. Elastic pools give us the same flexibility without having to make breaking changes our existing code.

Late post here, but we are implementing ElasticScale for a client to split 50 clients into a database-per-tenant model. I don't think the SplitMerge tool will be used over the long term, just for the initial data migration from one db to many shards, but it has been handy for that purpose. We are using the ElasticScale SDK to allow a single API to route queries to the appropriate shard(s) based on sharding key. Happy to compare notes with you if you are still working on this.

After I used the SPLIT TREE component, there is a list with odd index is null, another one is a list with even index is null. I want to do some calculation on the odd index one, and merge odd and even together to have a entire data tree.

PDFSAM a simple portable GUI driven java app (from the same stable as the more extensive sejda* version) is one that has a Free Open Source basic version that can easily be called from SumatraPDF. There are limitations to this simplicity, since without adding a more complex page handling mechanism, we are initially constrained to only passing one filename. Expanding to include multiple files in preset workspaces is possible but goes well beyond the scope of this post.

For such needs, Sumatra is not the best choice. It is a pdf reader and as I know it can not be used for splitting or editing the pdf files. I personally never used it for such needs. There are a lot of online pdf editors where you can merge or split the pdf pages. For example, I use [url=commercial site removed] you need just to import the pdf file and you can edit it as you want.

And before several people break their fingers trying to bash "hIsToRy ReWrItInG iS bAd" into their keyboards, I am a winner. I am writing history. It can be into a new branch, where in this branch, everything is done in a different order. And nothing is going to be merged back to main from the "broken" work branch, so there's no issue.

What I'm looking for is some workflow, how can I use the tools to organise a new set of changesets with my existing changes from the work branch but in a different partitioning, that I can then merge back to main?

Traffic on I-275 from Northline Road to 5 Mile Road during road work in 2021 through 2023 will be maintained using what is called a split merge, where one direction of traffic will use a local lane and an express lane, with the local lane used for ramp access only.

The video and graphic below shows an example of a split merge during road work on the southbound I-275 median lane and shoulder. In this scenario, two northbound lanes (blue cars) stay on the northbound side while southbound traffic (green cars) is split between the northbound and the southbound side in a local and express lane.

Multiplegrayscale images can be combined as the channels of a single image. Theimages you want to merge must be in grayscale mode, be flattened(have no layers), have the same pixel dimensions, and be open. Thenumber of grayscale images you have open determines the color modesavailable when merging channels. For example, if you have threeimages open, you can merge them into an RGB image; if you have fourimages open, they can become a CMYK image.

If you are working with DCS filesthat have accidentally lost their links (and so cannot be opened, placed, or printed), open the channel files, and merge them intoa CMYK image. Then re-save the file as a DCS EPS file.

Here, we can see that multiplication and addition worksheets are together in one file. To separate, we drag the addition worksheets into the box called Drag and Drop pages. To merge files together, it's the same process of dragging and dropping pages into the same row.

You cannot split an unmerged cell. If you're looking for information about how to split the contents of an unmerged cell across multiple cells, see Distribute the contents of a cell into adjacent columns.

Check the Space box and clear the rest of the boxes. Or, check both the Comma and Space boxes if that's how your text is split (such as "Reyes, Javiers", with a comma and space between the names). A preview of the data appears in the panel at the bottom of the popup window.

Anywhere in your workbook, select the cells that you want to contain the split data. For example, if you are dividing a full name into a first name column and a last name column, select the appropriate number of cells in two adjacent columns.

It will be perfect to just split or merge right in the studio. it appears there is a way to add but video file still has to be uploaded to be added, which mean with low bandwidth, it takes a while to just upload so I can merge the files.

To my knowledge, neither option that you've asked about are possible within Canvas Studio...or the Canvas RCE (Rich Content Editor) for that matter. You cannot split a single video into two parts, and you cannot combine two separate videos into one file within Canvas Studio. Those are not functions of Canvas Studio at all. I am also not aware of any online tools that integrate into Canvas that would allow you do any of this. (I could be totally wrong, though, and I'd be interested in learning from others if there was such a thing.)

Thanks probably to Microsoft's interminable updates, it has been found that the process now fails when presented with merge documents using CSV data sources. Why this should occur I have not yet been able to establish, so I have recommended the use of Excel data sources, which do not exhibit this limitation.

Unfortunately CSV data sources have been used as a means of overcoming the 256 field limit for mail merge and while admittedly few users have suffered from this limitation, I felt that I should address it. The solution is the add-in featured on this page.
