When I was in early elementary school (so think 1985, 1986), I remember seeing several MECC programs - I know one of them was Elementary Volume 6 - sourced from schools in Liverpool, NY and Syracuse, NY, which had alternate logos that I recall said "CNYICN" (may be something similar, but "CNY" is almost certain as that stood for "Central New York", and I remember trying to pronounce it "Sinnisinn"). I am pretty sure - not least because I accidentally defaced one of them once - that they lacked the copy protection of the MECC-branded versions. I suspect this CNYICN may have been a regional equivalent of MECC in Syracuse. I wonder if any of these still exist or were ever released. It's a long shot, but Word Wizards and Bank Street Storybook, which were longtime "whales" of mine, did eventually show up... -uso.
