Hi ! I booted a DN3500, with ESDI disk I ran salvol, chuvol and calendar (the HD came from another DN3500). OS is Aegis7-Domain/IX kernel revision 9.7.5, so no chance to connect a SCSI disk. The tape streamer should work, since the capstan seems to be quite *perfect*, but it's only 60MB, the HD is 300+ MB. So, how can I make a disk image ? I thought about booting from the net DomainOS sr10 (I have a 425t and 400t with DomainOS) and call dd from there. May I override the normal boot from disk ? I have to boot in service mode ? ----- Instead of a disk image, do you think it would be better to do a sysbackup ? May I connect a 150MB QIC tape to the SCSI adapter ? ----- The ESDI ISA adapter (OMTi) works on a "standard" old PC with ISA bus ? If yes, I could take away the whole chain controller-disk and make the image elsewhere ... Thanks ! -- *** Nucleare ? No, grazie ! ***
