In the USA alone, accidents accounted for= more than $300 billion in damaged property, more than 2 million nonfatal i= njuries, and almost 50,00 deaths annually. There has been shared consensus = among researchers and governments that those figures can be brought down by= applying modern safety applications. Applications like Cooperative Interse= ction Collision Avoidance Systems (CICASs), safe lane change, and autonomou= s auto-drive have captured the attention of researchers and provide solid p= latform to evaluate and compare different performance enhancement approache= s. Topics of primary interest include, but are not limited to: * Localization techniques * Absolute and relative positioning * Experimental test beds and simulations * Network configurations and architectures * Internetwork coexistence and interoperability * High-speed mobility management * Data sensing and probing * MAC, routing, and analysis * Congestion control and cooperative approaches * Context-awareness approaches * Channel measurement and modeling (I2V, V2V, and in-vehicle) * PHY layer and multiple radio integration and control * Quality of service delivery * Security and privacy issues * Safety and non-safety applications Important Dates Deadline for submission: February 27, 2015 Deadline for revision: May 15, 2015 Notification of final decision: May 25, 2015 Estimated Publication: August 1, 2015 (Tentative) Submission Abstracts addressing one or more of these themes/topics or further question= s should be emailed to an editor by February 27, 2015 at yasser.morgan@ureg= ina.ca, kiwan20h@uregina.ca. Manuscript submissions are invited by the submission deadline. All papers w= ill undergo a double or triple-blind peer review process. http://www.sapub.org/journal/specialissue.aspx?journalid=3D1118 Guest Editors Dr. Y.
