In Mathematica version 8, the code below creates a file that is 38 KB.

But in version 9, the code creates a file that is 872 KB.

f[x_] := Sum[Sin[n x]/n, {n, 1, 100}] ;
f1Plot = Plot[f[x], {x, -Pi, Pi}, PlotRange -> 2]
Export["C:\\JUNK\\f1Plot.pdf", f1Plot]

Is there a way in version 9 to create a pdf file of reasonable size?
