I found it would accept text input when I typed exit and hit enter. I tried the DOS video settings with no success but then suddenly the size of the window changed. I typed mode co80,25 and it went back to normal size and I could see the screen. I added mode co80,25 to the bottom of autoexec.bat and now my DOS prompt is working fine on a Thinkpad W500 (using the Intel video chipset as Panorama isn't able to drive the ATI side properly). So even though it is launching in what appears to be a normal mode window, I am having to explicitely set mode to view the text in the window. Andy --
