OK...who's got this running?

I've had my 1920x1200 single LCD display running for about 2 yrs now (ATI X850
XT PE & Samsung 245T panel).

The time has now come to venture beyond the forbidden wall and join the
remainder of happy computing devotees...LOL...so yeah, I want to be spoiled with
a multiple display setup.

I picked up another 245T, hooked it up to my card, this new LCD to a 2nd DVI
port, but using the DSUB converter since the SNAP drivers (latest officially
available release) will not support 2 DVI ports on the ATI card.

The SNAP drivers themselves have 2 HEADs defined, using a native resolution of
1920x1200. This gives me a total of 3840x1200 on SCREEN1 of the SNAP drivers
window, which is what I select.

The end result???

Well, the main display (HEAD1) shows up fine using 1920x1200, the 2nd display
(HEAD2) however uses a strange 960x1200 resolution, and as expected is
completely garbled as this is nowhere near the panel's native 1920x1200
resolution.

Now here is the weird part. I had originally had a very similar issue with my
HEAD1 panel, and this was not fixed until I re-programmed the LCD EDID to remove
a 'Detailing Timing' block which specified the funky 960x1200 resolution.
Therefore, I had assumed that the new LCD was also being affected by the same
problem. OK, no worries, I re-programmed the EDID, removed teh 960x1200 mode and
replaced it with the 1920x1200 (using the proper timing values, etc, etc).
Strangely enough, SNAP still insists on showing the 2nd HEAD in the 960x1200
mode.

I then deleted the CRTC00.dat & CRTC10.dat and MON00.dat & MON10.dat files, no
effect though. The files were re-created upon boot and my HEAD2 remained trapped
in the 960x1200 mode.

And this is where I am currently stuck. I can not figure out what else in the
SNAP driver drives the 2nd display HEAD. None of the GAxxx utilities show the
dreaded 960x1200 resolution, so as best as I can tell it does NOT even exist.

My next thought is the install a 2nd ATI X850 XT PE video card in the system in
hopes that I can drive the 2nd LCD using the primary DVI connector (it does
actually give a better quality display here). Not sure whether this would work
at all...very experimental...although it seems like SNAP should not have any
issues recognizing the display controller.

Any thoughts???

Should I be deleting the OPTIONS.DAT file? How about the RADEX850.00 in the
'config' directory? Is there anything in the INI files to go after? I searched,
but didn't find the culprit...

Thanks!
