| Subject | How is Certificate (and Path) Validation done in Windows? |
| From | totszwai.work@gmail.com |
Hello, I have a few questions actually... 1) How is Certificate validation done in Windows? 2) How is Certificate Path validation done in Windows? 3) Is there a way to hook into the flow in order to perform my own Certificate validation?? If I go to Local Security Policy > Public Key Policies, I can see there is something call Certificate Path Validation Settings. Is there a way to perhaps modify or add rules so that I can tell Windows to "run this for validation" or "do this for validation"? I am trying to write an application to perform real-time certificate validation for any certificate. But I don't think there is a way to directly hook into the process flow of Windows' certificate validation.
